Our wedding adventure all started with a scavenger hunt and flight to Puerto Rico, exploring Puerto Rico including some scuba diving, and a proposal on the tiny island of Culebra. We then began the task of planning a wedding in five months. About two months before the wedding, we received one of our first gifts: a waffle iron!
Our wedding invitations were quite special to me and included something from one of our favorite movies: an ewok! In the weeks leading up to the wedding, my wonderful bridesmaids threw me a few little parties including a tea party and a relaxed, bachelorette party.
The wedding weekend quickly arrived and we had a rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding. The first thing I noticed when I woke up on the day of our wedding was that it was rainy, but I’m glad that it was! When I arrived at the venue I spent time getting ready with my gals and hubby got ready with his guys. The first look was inside due to the rain but I love these photos and our wedding party photos were both inside and outside. Our short outdoor ceremony was lovely with the rain and fun umbrellas! Our guests then went inside to the reception and we drove around on boats before a bubble send-in on the water.
The reception was a blast and we got to see all of our closest friends and family (though for only a minute or two each!) We had a DIY photo booth, a lindy hop first dance (video included), six delectable cakes, and many little details. I’m glad we were able to find a little alone time during the reception since some of these are my favorite photos.
Last but not least, I shared some of my favorite photos from the day that I hadn’t used in other wedding recap posts. We may have had a few hiccups, like the rain, but I wouldn’t change anything about the day!
